Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is the most common Neurological disease in North American Adults. It also affects people in other parts of the world, mostly people in similar climates as North America like in the UK. Multiple Sclerosis is usually diagnosed in people ages twenty to forty and is twice as common in women as in men. Multiple Sclerosis is probably an autoimmune disease since in MS the immune system attacks the body. The part of the body which is affected by this attack is the myelin which is the insulation which protects nerve fibers. When the myelin is damaged, it leaves the nerve fibers exposed which in turn causes problems in people with Multiple Sclerosis. This process where the myelin and the axons are damaged is referred to as demyelination. From this demyelination, plaques or permanent scars are formed. The term Multiple Sclerosis comes signifies first of all, the many areas of inflammation and also demyelination of the nervous system. Multiple also refers to the repetition over time of neurological symptoms. The word Sclerosis means scarring and in this case refers to the appearance of the brain and spinal cord and the plaque that has been left over the course of the disease.

What is Multiple Sclerosis?
Friday, December 28th, 2007New York City Travel
Monday, December 24th, 2007New York City travel is an adventure – both in a good way and in a bad way. Ask two natives about travel in New York City and you will get at least three answers. Everyone has their ideal sites. Some people think that you should go see all of the big tourist stuff – Central Park, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Broadway – while some people believe in a more intimate tour of New York. Before you plan your vacation in New York, you should think about what appeals to you. What kind of New York City traveler are you?
I definitely think that you shouldn’t do any New York City travel without hitting the big sites. Any travel agency that specializes in New York vacations will tell you this much. Even if you’re not generally drawn to spectacles, they are still worth checking out. Otherwise, why are you in New York? Nevertheless, my best memories of New York City travel vacations are when I let myself wander around. I would walk all around Midtown, then cruise up north for a spell. No matter where you end up, you can always take public transit back, so as long as it is during the day you can feel free to walk anywhere in New York.

Trendy Peach Designer Ties
Sunday, December 23rd, 2007A trend hitting runways this season is peach designer ties. This is a look that can easily be incorporated into any man’s spring wardrobe, and will keep you on the cutting edge of fashion.
Designer ties have long been a staple of the hip male wardrobe, but this spring and into the summer are particularly focused on one type – peach designer ties. Peach is indeed a color associated with the spring and summer. It is evocative of fresh fruit, like cantaloupe, and summer flowers.
However, peach is not usually a color worn by men. That is what makes the peach designer tie a fresh addition to the fashion scene. Peach in a small amount, like on a tie, can make you seem bold, and even more masculine because you carry off a daring, sometimes feminine color with pride.

WHAT ARE LATEX ALLERGY REACTIONS?
Wednesday, December 5th, 2007Allergic reactions caused by latex allergy occur commonly in people allergic to the latex in rubber gloves. Three types of reactions can occur if you have a latex allergy: The first type is Irritant contact dermatitis, this common reaction to protective gloves isn’t an actual allergy but most likely due to sweating or rubbing under gloves. This rash occurs most often in people who wear protective gloves, so it’s common among dental and health care workers.
The next reaction is Allergic contact dermatitis, a reaction to the latex or chemical additives used during the manufacturing process. The chemicals added to latex can cause a skin rash to develop 24 to 48 hours after contact. The rash usually starts on the parts of your skin that have come in contact with latex, and then may spread to other areas. Oozing blisters also may occur.
